Both Ottawa Bikes and The Spokesman are reporting that a contract is in the works with the NCC to allow group bike rides on Tuesday evenings. The organizer is Ride with Rendall and the plan is that riders will need to register and pay a fee, but that then there will be a car following the group to enhance safety and reduce conflict with other drivers. I’ve asked for more info and will post it when I have it.

GuideGatineau previously listed upcoming events linked to a Google calendar. I found it onerous to maintain though and combined with technical difficulties that lead me to hide it away. If however, some sweet volunteer wanted to take on the task of keeping a Google calendar up to date, I'd be only too happy to bring it back. why not just close the gatineaus on Tuesday nights?
there will be some lingering people 2-3km in from the parking lots, but other than that… it should be smooth sailing.
Heck, they should be charging for vehicles up there. Why they don’t is beyond me. Other places do. Helps pay for the maintance fees associated to the rubber hitting the pavement.
Especially during the early spring and fall when the place is just a mad house on the weekends.
Reminds me of a walmart parking lot.
