Friends of Gatineau Park Heritage Day in Gatineau Park
Les Amis du parc de la Gatineau / Friends of Gatineau Park invite you to Heritage Day in Gatineau Park at 33 Scott Road, Chelsea QC on Sunday, February 14 at 1:00 pm
It is an opportunity to join with others across our country to celebrate historic places and architectural heritage of Canada.
Following the lead of the Heritage Canada Foundation , this year’s theme is The Heritage of Sport and Recreation. With the support of the Canadian Ski Museum, a two-part presentation will take place in the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre, on the history of cross country skiing in Gatineau Park and the history of the ski patrol. The presentation will be accompanied by a photo exhibit and display of selected old trail maps.
Join us as we begin our celebration of Heritage Day in the Park. Meet with other cross country ski enthusiasts and share stories of the founding days of skiing in Gatineau Park.
A good-will donation in support of the Friends’ Heritage initiatives is your only cost. Parking is free.
