A hiker who walked from the Eardley-Masham Road down to Kingsmere has posted a series of photos from his (her?) treck. He appears to have slept “rough” (and unofficial-like).

I met this hiker at Gamelin at 12:10 noon on Saturday on his way home to Gatineau; I hope he made it home before the downpour because I did not. Apparently he was on the trail at O’Brien at 5:30 am to make Gamelin by noon; even so, an impressive hike. He is off to Scotland to hike Glasgow-Inverness, and then to do the trail in the Eastern Townships starting at the Vermont border; the Park hike was a test. He told me his only problem is pacing himself!
Deet was effective for mosquitos, but the flies were tough; apparently there were swarms of hundreds.
