The National Capital Commission and therefore Gatineau Park are about to get a brand-spanking-new website. Scheduled for public release sometime in July the promise is for something more interactive and which takes advantage of current communications tools. The NCC has been piloting various elements over the past year or so, including iPhone apps, YouTube videos, Facebook pages, etc. To date most of these pilots have focused on NCC responsibilities in town, not so much in Gatineau Park.

The cards that GuideGatineau has begun distributing to promote the website are considered to be highly environmentally responsible due to the fact that the paper used is 100% recycled and is produced using energy from biofuels plus the ink is vegetable based.
