The National Capital Commission (NCC) advises the public that the Philippe and Taylor Lake sectors will reopen on Thursday, June 30. The Pink Lake trail will reopen tomorrow, June 29 and the Meech Lake beaches are open.
The Philippe Lake beaches will however remain closed as they are still flooded.
Philippe and Taylor Lake sectors will reopen on June 30:
- Reopening of the road to Philippe Lake to motor vehicle traffic. The temporary bridge, located close to Parent Beach, will be reduced to one lane. The NCC asks the public to respect signage and traffic lights in place.
- Reopening of Taylor Lake to motor vehicle traffic.
- Reopening of Taylor Lake campground.
- Partial reopening of Philippe Lake campground with reduced services.
- Campers are accepted by reservation only.
- Recreational vehicles (RV) and trailers can not be accepted.
- Tents and tent-trailers are accepted.
Pink Lake Trail will reopen on June 29:
- Reopening of the Pink Lake trail.
Meech Lake Beaches:
- O’Brien and Blanchet beaches are open.
NOTE: Philippe Lake Beaches ― Swimming remains prohibited at Breton, Parent and Smith beaches as the beaches are still flooded.
The NCC urges the public to keep personal safety in mind and respect signage and barricades in place.

Funny how roads can be rebuilt in a week when there are paying customers. I guess there are no fish involved.
