Jon Moore asked “Is there anywhere in the Gats where I can take a dog offleash?”
According to the NCC website dogs are verboten off-leash. On leash the trails are supposed to be marked as to whether they allow dogs or not.
UPDATE: Following the above post, I emailed the NCC asking for more detail, particularly as their information seemed to be aimed at summer usage. The reply I got again included summer-applicable boilerplate but also said this:
In the winter, dogs are permitted on leash on recognized trails designated for walking only. Such trails are the Sugar Bush, Pioneer, and Lauriault trails…
The three trail areas to avoid any time of the year are:
-Pink Lake Trail;
-King Mountain Trail;
-Luskville Falls Trail.
