Wakefield Steam Train Vandalized
An article at the Ottawa Citizen website reports that thieves have damaged the Wakefield steam train in an effort to steal copper wiring. The police evidently caught them because they were trying to burn the plastic insulation off before selling the copper.

Far as I can tell, and please correct me if I’m wrong, the Wakefield Steam Train, is not directly linked in any way to Gatineau Park, which is the subject of this “Gatineau Park News.”
Having been asked to stay on the subject by your editor, I just thought I’d serve him with a little of his own.

Oh, yes, and by the way, nor was Gatineau Park mentioned in the Citizen article.
Perhaps I really do protest too much…
After all, Gatineau Park is only a monument …

I am reminded of an old Wayne and Shuster sketch where someone spreads open a newspaper featuring column after column of blank paper under the headline No News Today.
In the desire to say “something” I have strayed outside the limits of the Park, ’tis true.
