The NCC though is putting a brave face on things and promoting spring skiing until there is no snow or until April 15th, whichever comes first.

GuideGatineau previously listed upcoming events linked to a Google calendar. I found it onerous to maintain though and combined with technical difficulties that lead me to hide it away. If however, some sweet volunteer wanted to take on the task of keeping a Google calendar up to date, I'd be only too happy to bring it back. Went to the Fire Tower from P12, waxless, on Wednesday 7 March. Slow. Trail 40 was fine. Ridge Rd. has skidoo tracks to and from McKinstry, and bicycle tracks(!) between the Wolf trail and old trail 16 along Ridge Rd. A few skaters passed me.
It is wonderful to hear that the NCC plans to promote spring skiing this year! We skiers are also very grateful to Demsis for the excellent grooming this ski season. This year it has been a joy to ski in the park. Does anyone know when the grooming contract comes up for renewal?
