From P17 near Wakefield, this trail leads to the Brown cabin, along Brown lake then up & around a large hill before looping back to Brown cabin.
Conditions were good today. Not much powdered snow, mostly packed to hard-packed conditions. We walked the last 3km without our snowshoes.
With 4 mm of freezing rain forecast for tomorrow afternoon, followed by 15mm of rain on Monday, let’s hope the trail conditions don’t deteriorate too much. Up to 7cm of snow are in the forecast from Tuesday to Thursday.
